Ricky Gervais on The Simpsons
Tonight saw the airing of the episode of The Simpsons written by, and featuring Ricky Gervais. As you probably already know Ricky Gervais is the mastermind, creator and star of the greatest television program ever, The Office. And not that crappy American rip-off, well it's not THAT bad, but it is bad compared with the original. Anyway, tonight's episode had its moments, but overall was a fairly week episode. The character Ricky wrote for himself was very much modeled on the character of David Brent, I don't know if this was because he wanted to, because he was asked to, or if that is the only character he can write. Whatever the reasons may have been, the character was well written. Another high point of this episode was that Ricky's character lived "outside New Haven," I live outside New Haven. Nice to us Nutmeg staters getting some respect from the indomitable Ricky Gervais.

The only parts of that episode I liked were the parts at the Fox studio and Ricky's songs.
